PESTO RECIPE:

4 cups basil leaves (lightly packed + rinsed)

¼ cup pine nuts

¼ cup walnuts

½ cup olive oil

½ lemon (juiced)

¾ cup freshly grated parmesan

Salt + pepper to taste

Add basil, pine nuts, and walnuts to a food processor or blender and pulse for about 10 seconds. Add parmesan cheese and a pinch of salt, then squeeze half a lemon into the basil mixture. Slowly add in olive and continue to pulse for about 30 seconds until the pesto is a smooth consistency.

Add to fresh pasta, chicken, shrimp, scallops, or top your salad or grilled veggies with this bright, herby condiment.

LAVENDER LEMONADE:

6 lemons

½ cup honey

4 cups filtered water

3-5 sprigs of lavender

Gently heat filtered water and honey in a small pot until honey is dissolved. Remove mixture from heat and add lavender. Allow the water to steep for 2 hours. Juice the lemons, being careful not to accidentally add any seeds to your pitcher. Combine lemon juice with the steeped lavender mixture and pour over ice. Enjoy!

BUTTER + SAGE SAUCE:

2 cups grass fed butter

4-5 sage leaves

2 crushed cloves garlic

Pinch of salt

Cracked black pepper to taste

¼ teaspoon chili flakes

Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Once butter begins to look frothy, add in crushed garlic cloves and let simmer for 2 minutes. Next, add sage leaves, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Stir sauce occasionally and remove once butter is a dark golden yellow.

Use sauce to top pasta, roasted veggies, a light seafood dish, or as a dip for freshly baked bread.

CREAMY HERB DIP:

1 block softened cream cheese

½ cup sour cream

¼ cup chopped chives

¼ cup chopped cilantro

¼ cup chopped parsley

½ lemon (juiced)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and sour cream. Mix with a hand mixer until cream cheese and sour cream are well combined. Add chives, cilantro, parsley, and lemon juice. Mix until herbs are evenly distributed throughout the dip. Finish with salt and cracked black pepper. Enjoy with fresh veggies, your favorite chip, or as a spread on sandwiches and wraps.
